The real estate sector in Sharjah is aiming for a significant transformation with the launch of the "Ajmal Makan City - Sharjah Waterfront" project in the Al Hamriya area, costing 25 billion AED ($6.8 billion) and covering over 60 million square feet.

According to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on Monday, the project will accommodate more than 60,000 residents across 8 islands and will combine modern urban living with sustainable and eco-friendly practices.

In parallel with the construction progress, "Ajmal Makan City" will expand the real estate sector in Sharjah and create thousands of jobs across various sectors.

The project has successfully attracted the attention of both local and international investors and is considered a key contributor to Sharjah's economic diversification strategy.

The developer, Ajmal Makan Real Estate, launched three new projects: "Al Thuraya Island," "The View Island," and "Blue Beach Residences."

The first two phases of Sun Island have been delivered, along with the "Blue Bay Walk" project, which is being completed in three phases. The first phase has been delivered, and the second and third phases are near completion.

The project includes 1,500 villas, several mid-rise buildings, hotels, retail spaces, and educational institutions.

The development will add 36 kilometers to the emirate's coastline, with a marina featuring 800 yacht berths and a 1.6 million square foot entertainment park.

A shopping center covering 3 million square feet will also be built, along with restaurants, cafes, and recreational outlets directly on the waterfront.

Sixty percent of the project will be dedicated to green spaces, beaches, and public areas in line with sustainability goals, with plans for the project to become a major destination for residents, tourists, and investors.
