A report issued by the "Interregional Strategic Analysis Center" predicts that household spending in the UAE will increase during Ramadan 2025 by between 20% and 40%.
According to the report released on Saturday, the center expects the increase in UAE household spending during the holy month to be driven by promotions, discounts, and increased consumption in food, shopping, restaurants, and social activities.
The report noted that Ramadan is a key season for market growth but may see a decline in some spending categories, such as non-Ramadan entertainment, unnecessary transportation, and fast food.
It also pointed out that some families are looking to save by rationalizing their spending, relying on home cooking, and avoiding random expenditures, while setting a budget to control expenses throughout the month.
The report advised planning in advance and creating a clear budget for spending throughout Ramadan, as well as developing a plan that covers all expected expenses during the month and avoiding random purchases, especially with tempting offers in the markets.
