The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Samira Al-Zoubi, emphasized the importance of the Digital Cooperation and Development Forum as a platform that brings together decision-makers and experts from various sectors, including the public and private sectors, the technology community, academic circles, civil society organizations, youth, and international organizations.
This came during her participation in the opening of the second edition of the Digital Cooperation and Development Forum held in Amman under the slogan "Our Vision, Our World, Our Future."
She added that Jordan has been a pioneering country in supporting the Arab Digital Agenda since its early stages. It has actively contributed to its development through the joint technical committee between ESCWA and the Arab League and played a key role in preparing national digital reports aimed at assessing progress in digital development and identifying challenges and opportunities.
According to a statement from the ministry on Sunday, the forum, organized by ESCWA and the Arab League in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aims to enhance regional and international digital cooperation, review the progress of implementing the Arab Digital Agenda 2023-2033, and contribute to shaping the future of digital transformation in the region.
She explained that the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship is continuously working on developing digital infrastructure, enhancing digital governance, and accelerating the digital transformation in line with regional and international priorities.
